PDF Print E-mail
Situated in the heart of Mayfair, Gentlemen’s Tonic is a bespoke establishment created entirely for the needs of the modern man. Founded in 2004 by ex-hedge fund trader Olivier Bonnefoy, the Gentlemen’s Tonic philosophy is to eliminate any stigmas and social barriers attached to male grooming. Modern day society has demonstrated an affinity toward male vanity and Gentlemen’s Tonic is at the forefront of this industry and is instrumental in its growth.

Products

Gentlemen’s Tonic have recently launched Babassu and Bergamot, a new line of skin and hair care products, specifically designed for men.

Babassu and Bergamot is a striking blend of naturally based ingredients derived from sustained and renewable resources. With over three years of research and developed by one of the UK’s leading product formulators, the range boasts eight products that are innovative in formulation, stylish in design and have been entirely sourced, formulated and produced in the UK.

Treatments

Treatments range from rejuvenating facials and tension releasing massages to the more traditional services on offer in the barbershop. The extensive list of grooming treatments and specialised services at Gentlemen’s Tonic sets the precedent for a ‘reassuringly male experience’. Packages such as The Hemingway, created for those recovering from the excesses of the night before, includes an aromatherapy facial, massage and a Bloody Mary, to get you on your feet again. New to launch Retox/Detox is a unique and innovative package available for winter 2008. This dual purpose, two-part, treatment sets you up for a night of revelry and alleviates the next day hangover.

The Man behind the Business

Tired of large corporate entities and foreseeing a niche in the market for the growing demand in male grooming, Olivier created Gentlemen’s Tonic. Furthermore Olivier, actively manages a stunning collection of African Oceanic pre Columbian art. The collection which has grown over a 50 year period consists of some 10,000 pieces of art, many of which are loaned out to museums and galleries.

Future Developments

Gentlemen’s Tonic has recently launched a second establishment at exclusive club City Point on the 27th June 2008 and there are plans to open a further two city establishments in Spring 2009. August 2008 saw the launch of Gentlemen’s Tonic’s Houston, set to be the first of many international developments. And it doesn’t stop there: Gentlemen’s Tonic is also launching a further opening within Selfridges, London in November 2008 – watch this space!

Products are available in store, online and in Harvey Nichols stores nationwide as from April 2008.
