Vaser is a minimally invasive procedure that is performed between the layer of the skin and the layer of the muscle. Whilst the treatment works by emulsifying and extracting unwanted fat, it leaves important connective tissue intact therefore promoting smooth results with significantly less bruising and a much faster recovery time.

How does Vaser Lipo work?

The targeted area is firstly filled with Klein’s Solution, this is a combination of saline, lidocaine, adrenaline and sodium bi-carbonate which helps numb the area and shrink the blood vessels (to minimize blood loss and reduce bruising). This solution wets and fills the area to be treated, making it easier to break up fatty tissue with Vaser’s Lipo System ultrasound energy. A small probe then transmits sound energy (similar to that used for cataract removal from the eye) to break up fatty tissue on contact while preserving other important tissues. Finally, the liquefied fat is removed through a gentle suction process designed to minimize damage to surrounding tissues.

Vaser is performed at EF MediSpa's Kensington clinic which has a specially designed treatment room licensed by the Healthcare Commission. Results can vary with every individual, the amount of fat removed, the number of areas treated, and so on. Though many have reported they see results immediately after the procedure, it may take up to 3-6 months to see a final result.
