Ellipse I2PL - the next generation of IPL
Clinically proven for the treatment of hair removal, age defense, skin rejuvenation, thread veins and acne, Ellipse I2PL is a safe and effective treatment. The key difference is that no active skin cooling is required. Ellipse I2PL contains a dual mode filtering system that ensures that the light that is directed to your skin contains only clinically relevant wavelengths making it a much safer and effective as it removes potentially harmful rays. HAIR REMOVAL Ellipse uses Intense Pulsed Light to safely and effectively reduce unwanted hair. Ellipse I2PL works by targeting the melanin (pigment in the hair). As the light is absorbed it breaks the bond between the blood supply and the hair follicle rendering the hair follicle unable to produce hair. Over time the density and appearance of the hair changes till it become unnoticeable.
A patch test is required one week prior to the treatment. Hair grows in three different cycles and Ellipse I2PL Hair Reduction can only successfully treat hair during its growth stage. It is therefore necessary to undergo a course of 3-6 treatments ensuring that you leave at least 4-8 weeks between each session initially, and then only repeat as and when the hair returns.
Ellipse I2PL HAIR REDUCTION starts from £40 per treatment depending on area.
AGE DEFENSE
Ellipse I2PL reduces the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles it focuses on the improvement of skin texture and boosts the natural collagen production in the skin by up to 300%. The treatment is based on the application of a unique photo spray the key active ingredient is 5ALA (Aminolevulinic Acid) an amino acid which targets damaged skin cells enabling them to be rebuilt.
The PHOTOSPRAY is applied to the skin 1 hour prior to treatment which causes a pigment in the skin which is red in colour. Following this, a low energy non invasive Intense Pulsed Light (Ellipse I2PL), is passed over areas of the face causing a photochemical reaction with the spray which in turn stimulates collagen production in the skin. It is this collagen production that visibly fills wrinkles, rejuvenates and smoothes – giving the appearance of a younger, vitalised complexion. It is recommended that the client has 3 treatments in 3 week intervals. One month after completion the client should return for a “check-up.’’ It is found that collagen stimulation in the skin peaks at 90 days, so you will notice the skin change over this period.
Ellipse I2PL AGE DEFENSE starts from £600 per treatment depending on area.
SKIN REGUVENTATION – AGE SPOTS Age spots and hyper pigmentation contains melanin and diffuse redness contains haemoglobin. The light is absorbed by the melanin within the pigmented area, the heat reaction caused by the Ellipse I2PL breaks down the melanin in the keratinocytes. A reaction occurs in the melanin vesicles and the excess melanin turns darker before it comes away from the skin. The light is also absorbed by the superficial blood vessels in the skin. The heat reaction caused coagulates blood vessels, destroys protein in the wall of the vessel and stimulates collagen production. The pigmentation will become darker in colour immediately after the treatment. A few days after the treatment the pigmented areas will develop a light crust (this is a good sign that the treatment has worked). After that, the skin will look smoother and fresher.
Skin Rejuvenation is the treatment for sun damaged skins. The treatment can also be used for diffuse redness (high colour) and pigmentation lesions such as hyper pigmentation, solar lentigines (sun spots) and freckles.
On average 1-3 treatments as 4 week intervals are needed for the best results. Top up treatments may be needed in the future to maintain these results.
Ellipse I2PL SKIN REGUVENATION starts from £250 per treatment depending on area.
THREAD VIENS The light is attracted to the target chromophore oxy-haemoglobin in the blood which causes thread veins. As the light is absorbed by the blood in the vessels a heat reaction is caused, which coagulates the blood and destroys protein in the wall of the vessel. The vessel then breaks down and the debris is removed by the body’s natural waste disposal system.
It is important to avoid sun exposure 30 days prior to treatment. Sun exposure can increase the risk of pain or burns from excessive light absorption in the epidermis.
On average 2-4 treatments with 4 week intervals are needed for the best results. Top up treatments may be needed in the future to maintain these results.
Ellipse I2PL THREAD VIENS starts from £75 per treatment depending on area.
ACNE
Ellipse I2PL treats three forms of Acne:
Acne Vulgaris: Clogging of the hair follicles that leads to unsightly and sometimes painful, skin lesions and pimples. Acne Conglobata: Covers the back, chest and buttocks with pustules and nodules, which might cause a severe bacterial infection, as well as extensive scarring. Acne Rosacea: an inflammation of the face, neck or chest.
Ellipse acne treatment is aimed specifically at the treatment of superficial inflammatory acne. The acne treatment works in two ways:
1 The light targets the porphyrins produced by the bacteria that cause the acne, destruction of these porphyrins will produce free oxygen radicals and a bacterial effect is induced to reduce the acne infection. The light is also absorbed by the haemoglobin in the superficial blood vessels that supply the sebaceous glands and destruction of these which slows down the over production of oil that leads to acne.
2 The heat reaction produced will also stimulate collagen production to increase healing of the acne lesions and may even soften the appearance of scarring.
As the bacteria is difficult to eradicate completely, a doctor may recommend using adaplene cream or gel some months after the treatment has ended. A course of 4 Ellipse I2PL treatments is recommended with 3 week intervals.
Ellipse I2PL ACNE TREATMENT starts from £250 per treatment depending on area.
